If the drive is listed in Device Manager then it is being detected by the notebook. Open “My Computer” and note what the last drive letter you see C: Verify whether the issue was resolved and post the result.

I then simply pressed the standard electronic disc eject button again, invoking a close of the tray, and low and behold, the directory contents of the disc came up. Did you complete the troubleshooter for the drive that still does not work? Thanks in advance for your help!
I’ve been trying to update the driver for days now but it keeps saying I have the best driver. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column. Have you tried manually accessing the drive through Windows Explorer? Thanks for marking this as the answer.
I looked it up on technet but none of the solutions I foudn worked yet. If it continues, download this fix and try it. How satisfied are you with this reply? For laptops you can often clean the power and data contacts with a pencil eraser. Check with your System Maker and Device maker tsa both possible firmware updates and the correct Registry entries for your drive. This site in other languages x.
